Description	The Bloomington Pantagraph May 20, 1862, reported on "a preliminary meeting of the Base Ball Club." Same May 30, 1862: "The members of the Eagle Base Ball Club are requested to meet for field exercise on the common, south of Franklin Square." Other meetings of the Eagle club announced same, June 2, 1862, Aug. 4, 1862. Same July 3, 1862: "The Eagle ball club of Bloomington proposes joining in a match game of ball on the ground south of Franklin Square on the coming Fourth."
