| Data | “Base ball” was played by children attending the Wesleyan Sunday School of Uxbridge, West London, at their annual treat. According to a newspaper report, about 130 students and adults spent “a happy time,” adding “throughout the day the scholars enjoyed themselves at cricket, base ball, and other games, and races were also indulged in.” |
