The Staunton Spectator, Nov. 20, 1866 reports this is the Lone Star of Harrisonburg and the Lee of New Market, played Nov. 10th. New Market (current pop. about 2,100) is about 115 miles NW of Richmond and nnear the WV border. Harrisonburg VA (1890 pop. about 2800, current pop. about 49,000)is less than 20 miles SW of New Market. |
