Description

The Reds defeated the Dodgers at Ebbets Field , 5-2, in the first Major League game to be televised. In the second game of the double-header, the Dodgers prevailed 6-1.

Red Barber was the announcer. Station W2XBS employed two cameras, one trained on Barber and one of the playing field. Barber worked without a TV monitor.
