Description	The Waukegan Weekly Gazette, June 1, 1872 reports that the Athletics (aka Athletes) of Waukegan lost to the University Club of Evanston. Also mentioned 6-29-72, 7-6-72, 6-28-73, 7-12-73. The New York Clipper, July 17, 1875 reports that on July 4th the Chicago Blue Stockings beat the Waukegan Athletics 20-0 at Waukegan. The Janesville Gazette, Aug. 2, 1876, reports that on Aug. 1, at the "trotting park" in Waukegan, the Waukegan Athletic defeated the Chicago Times nine 12-10. The trotting park was on the site of the Karcher Hotel Bldg, on Washington Street.
