The boys enjoyed a game of baseball, notwithstanding the march of the day before, and the prospect of a longer march the next day.” This is the only reference to ballplaying in the history.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Story of the Twenty-First Regiment, Connecticut Volunteer Infantry, During the Civil War. 1861-1865</span> (Stewart Printing Co., Middletown, 1900).
