Description | The Portland Daily Press, June 11, 1864 reports that the Augusta BBC traveled to Kents Hill a few days ago and beat the student club there. Same, Sept. 20, 1867, reports on a game at Kents Hill between the Crichton and Olympic Clubs, and mentions a Pine Tree BBC. The Gardiner Home Journal, Oct. 13, 1864, calls this the Little Jokers Club. Kents Hill Academy (est. 1824) is in Kents Hill, 12 miles west of Augusta. |
