Text | A fielder should be given an error for every misjudged fly, and the infield for every failure to stop and field a ball within any reasonable distance of them. The hit should never be too hot for a fielders, for it is for this work that he is paid to do. There should be no such thing as excusable errors, for no error, no matter under what circumstances made, can be excusable with professional players. |
