Text | [Eagle of New York vs. Cypress of East New York 8/31/1867] The weather was splendid for ball play, and as the parade ground at East New York is large enough to have no less than four or even five matches played at once on the field, the Eagles found themselves in the midst of quite a lively party of ball players during the afternoon, three games going on at the same time, the greatest muffs of the three parties making the most noise as a matter of course. |
