Text	There are three permanently inclosed ball-grounds in Brooklyn, viz: the Capitoline, Union, and Satellite, the former being the largest, and located near Fulton ave. on Nostrand ave., the Fulton ave. cars going direct to the grounds. The Union and Satellite adjoin each other in the Eastern District, Marcy ave. and Broadway bounding the eastern sides respectively. The Carroll Park grounds—vacant lots adjoining Carroll Park, South Brooklyn—is the locality at which the opening games of the season are played every year, the hard sandy soil of the lots admitting of play before the turfy fields are in condition elsewhere.
