Text | The plan inaugurated by the Chicago club in playing its pitchers alternately, so that neither shall become overworked, has met with such success that it will almost certainly be imitated next year by other league clubs. The probabilities are, however, that it will be difficult to secure two pitchers of such exceptional ability as Goldsmith and Corcoran. Half the regular pitcher in the league are wearing elastic bandages on their arms. |
