Text | The fielders have no right to appeal for judgment except in the case of players running bases, or on foul balls. The umpire is the sole judge as to the character of the ball pitched, whether it is fair or unfair; and neither the pitcher nor catcher has the right to appeal to him in regard to balls or called strikes. |
