Text | Since the spectacle of the Fall of Babylon was started on the St. George Grounds, and the centre field of the ball ground was encroached upon by the stage, it has been a ground rule of the club that any ball hit to right field, which went to the stage, either directly from the bat or after passing a fielder, should only give the batsman two bases, either on the hit or on the muff. |
