Text | [from an interview of Jimmy Williams] I think it absolutely necessary for the existence of the clubs that a rule be passed allowing each club in the league or association to have but thirteen players under contract. This will allow a team to have three batteries and seven fielders and will be quite a factor in keeping down expenses. |
