Text | Barnie, while in Philadelphia last week, had an interview with Col. Rogers, of the Philadelphia Club, who is a member of the joint conference committee, in reference to the rescinding of the rule giving a batsman a base hit for a base on balls. Col. Rogers, however, wisely declined to join in the proposed movement, as he justly thinks the rules should be given a longer and more thorough trial than they have had. Right you are, Colonel. |
