Description | The Dec. 30, 1868 game was played at the "grounds near the Statehouse." Other stories mention the Santa Fe games being played near the Capitol Building. The old capitol building (aka the Governors Palace) is just north of the old Plaza (63 Lincoln Ave). The old plaza was bounded by Palace St. on the north, Washington on the east, and Lincoln on the west. There was a lot west of the capitol building where games were also played. |
