Description	The Freeport Journal, July 6, 1870, quotes the Warren Sentinel as saying the Warren BBC is not yet organized, but has been challenged by Freeport to a game. The Chicago Inter Ocean, Sept. 11, 1874 reports that the Prairie Citys of Warren won the country fair baseball tournament held at Freeport. It is assumed this is the 1870 team. Warren is northwest of Freeport near the state line. It had 1,666 residents in 1870.
