<p>&nbsp;Waltham&nbsp;<em>Sentinel</em>, July 16, 23, 1858 announces the formation of this club. "We now have eight to ten cricket and base-ball clubs in the town" which play on the Common.</p>
<p>Waltham had 6,397 residents in 1860.</p>
