Biography
President of the Bluff City Base Ball Club, 1867. There is also a "John McGrainger" of the Bluff City Club who was elected Second Vice President of the Tennessee Base Ball Convention, September 1867. There was no "John D. Gramger" or "John McGrainger" listed in the Memphis City Directory for 1867, but there was a "John D. Grainger," which is very likely the correct name.
