I agree that the PIR sensors are a great adtiidon. The new Vue cameras from Avaak also include a PIR, which makes even more sense since they are battery powered. The PIR sensors take very little power. Streaming video 24 7 just can't be done for more than a few days on the original Vue cameras before the batteries run out.If you prefer to let your PIR do the motion detection, we support that mode too. You can turn off sensr.net motion detection under the camera edit page and then we'll simply store all the images your camera sends us. (We limit this to about 600 per hour right now ) The drawback to having the camera only send on motion is that the live views on sensr.net don't work well in this mode. Also the daily views will have a lot of hours with missing images. Some cameras like the Cisco WVC80N can only send on motion Thanks for all your thoughtful comments.
