Description | Two St. Marys College clubs, the Chiefs and the Stars, played baseball on May 19 and 26, 1878, the Chiefs winning both times. St. Marys was founded in 1866. It is likely baseball was played at the college when Comiskey was there. Future White Sox owner Charles Comiskey attended St. Marys around 1875-76, but he is not listed in the box scores of these games. |
