|Description=<p>"BASE BALL -- The first match of the season at this game took place yesterday afternoon in East Newark, between the Newark Jr., and Newark Clubs, which resulted in the defeat of the former. A large number of visitors were present, many of whom were ladies. The playing was good and creditable to both clubs, and with a little more practice the Juniors though young will make capital players.
