Description

The Cleveland Leader, Dec. 22, 1866, reports that the Lone Star Club of Anderson attended the Northwest Baseball Convention in Chicago.

According to the New York Clipper article on the convention, Jan. 5, 1867, the club was organized July 27, 1866 and had 25 members. E. Van Norman and W. E. Cook were delegates.

The Fort Wayne Daily Gazette, Sept. 14, 1867, reports on "The Indiana Base Ball Convention" held in Indianapolis on Sept. 11th. The teams represented included the Lone Star of Anderson.
