Description

The Central American or Caribbean Games/Olympics was held in El Salvador in March and April 1935. Among the sports competed in was baseball (beisbol). The team from Cuba won. See the Spanish language El Paso Continental, April 8, 1935, and various online sources.

El Salvador evidently sent a baseball team to the 1930 games in Havana, Cuba, but had to forfeit when they came up a player short.

The 1935 El Salvador team was managed by Manuel Cueto, a Cuban who'd played for the Cincinnati Reds. On March 31 the Nicaragua team beat El Salvador's at the Flor Blanca stadium, but they later lost to Cuba.
