The Yankton Press & Dakotan, March 10, 1870, says that last Saturday the Yankton Coyotes BBC was organized. The Yankton Union and Dakotian, March 3, 1870, says a base ball club was organized in this town yesterday.
The New York Clipper, July 2, 1870 reports the formation of this Coyote Club, with C. H. Edwards as president.
Yankton SD (1880 pop. about 3400) is in the SE corner of SD on the Missouri River.
